Jean-Sébastien Bourré

Jean-Sébastien Bourré is originally from Montréal and holds a master’s degree in arts education from Université du Québec à Montréal.

At the Fondation Isabelle et Luc Poirier, Jean-Sébastien serves as Director of Operations and Community Relations, shaping positive and caring environments. Rooted in education, he brings an educational perspective to every project he leads at the Foundation. He is also the public’s first point of contact with the Foundation.

Jean-Sébastien is also an accomplished author, having published two acclaimed essays on trans identities. « TRANSition : Évolution du mouvement trans et de ses revendications » and « TRANSition : Une quête de soi » drew wide interest and led to well-attended talks across Québec and New Brunswick. His commitment goes beyond writing: proceeds are donated to Aide aux Trans du Québec (ATQ), in tribute to the late Marie-Marcelle Godbout.

At the Foundation, Jean-Sébastien developed two essential tools: the « Guide d’information aux parents sur la violence et l’intimidation à l’école » and « L’Émojeu », both translated into English and available free of charge online. His work also extends to creating innovative educational guides and writing scripts for pioneering projects, including virtual reality experiences in the workplace.

He orchestrates every project he undertakes with remarkable efficiency, demonstrating unwavering dedication to education and to the well-being of the community.
